WARNING: The following contains spoilers for WandaVision Episode 9, "The Series Finale," streaming now on Disney+.

The penultimate episode of WandaVision revealed that S.W.O.R.D. had built their very own Vision, a sentient weapon meant to take out Wanda Maximoff. In the season's final episode, "The Series Finale," this pale doppelganger found its target, but it quickly ended up locked in battle against Wanda's own version of the android. The two Visions fought one another to a standstill, at least until the hex Vision gave his counterpart access to all of his memories. As a result, the pale Vision essentially became the real Vision, effectively bringing the character back from the dead.

At the end of WandaVision, the new Vision leaves Westview, but his future is very much left up in the air. So, now that the Vision is back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, let's look at some movies or TV shows he could appear in.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

WandaVision leads into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Marvel Studios has already confirmed that Scarlet Witch's story will continue in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, due for release March 23, 2022. The character's role is currently unknown in the sequel, but it will more than likely be connected to the events of the WandaVision finale. The episode's after-credits scene revealed that Wanda was looking for a way to bring her children Billy and Tommy back, and she may not be searching for them alone.

With Vision still out there, the character could reunite with Wanda as the two work in unison to bring their children back before Doctor Strange finds Wanda. WandaVision furthered the bond between Wanda and Vision, which means that when she returns to the screen, the android could also follow.

Secret Invasion

Now that the Vision's memories have returned, he may be looking to pick up where he left off, as a superhero and member of the Avengers. The Secret Invasion series will follow Nick Fury and the shape-shifting Talos, as the two uncover a Skrull plot to invade the Earth. The two leads could easily find themselves in need of firepower when they come up against the Skrulls, and the Vision could make for a powerful ally.

The Vision and Nick Fury are two characters that never really had the chance to interact, which means the android's presence in the Disney+ series could make for a fun new dynamic. And as a longtime member of the Avengers, the android could prove that he is still devoted to protecting the Earth.

Armor Wars

The Disney+ series Armor Wars is set to feature the return of James "Rhodey" Rhodes, aka War Machine, as he deals with the Iron Man technology falling into the wrong hands. While there is little else known about the series, this is a project that could see the return of the Vision. After all, after the events of Captain America: Civil War, the remaining roster of the Avengers primarily consisted of Iron Man, War Machine and Vision.

Considering the bond between the three characters, and since Vision himself was (partly) a creation of Tony Stark, the android could play an important role in Armor Wars. If Rhodey finds himself facing multiple enemies armored with the Iron Man technology and without any allies, he could join forces with the Vision as the two work to protect Tony's legacy.

Written by Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman, WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Kathryn Hahn as Agnes.
