WandaVision director Matt Shakman offered a promise to fans that the show will end up telling a complete and satisfying story.

"We were trying to tell a complete story in terms of the narrative around Westview, N.J., and we hope that there's some resolution to that story, and that it is satisfying and also surprising for the fans," Shakman explained to TVLine. "But Wanda will continue into Doctor Strange [in the Multiverse of Madness], and there's a lot more to her story to be told, so this is only one part of a very complicated and very rich life."

"Wanda has suffered more loss than anybody in the MCU," Shakman continued. "She’s gone through so much and that was always the emotional core of WandaVision, exploring loss and how we come back from [it]."

Prior to helming WandaVision, Shakman was a child star in the 1980s sitcom Just the Ten of Us. He went on to be a prolific television director, helming episodes for a wide variety of programs ranging from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia to Game of Thrones to Succession.

Written by Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman, WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Kathryn Hahn as Agnes. New episodes air Fridays on Disney+.
