WARNING: The following contains spoilers for WandaVision Episode 6, "All-New Halloween Spooktacular!," now streaming on Disney+.

Last week's WandaVision was a game-changer, between twins Tommy and Billy showing off their growing power set, Vision pushing against the whims of his wife and the surprise appearance of a very different-looking Pietro. And as the town of Westview celebrates Halloween, there are many more tricks than treats, as the warped reality of Scarlet Witch quite literally widens.

As the opening credits take us into the '90s, we get a distinct change in tone from the previous decades in "All-New Halloween Spooktacular!" The twins wield a handheld camera as they take us through the chaos of the Maximoff household, a punk rock anthem encouraging them to "keep it going through each distorted day." Interestingly the perspective has shifted to Billy and Tommy, as they break the fourth wall and talk directly to the camera, Malcolm in the Middle-style, about their varying perspectives on Halloween.

The boys wake up their cool uncle Pietro on the couch, who proceeds to use his super speed to play with his nephews. Wanda suddenly comes down the stairs, wearing a classic Scarlet Witch costume for the holiday. She claims she's a Sokovian fortune teller, leading Pietro to prompt a humorous cutaway to their childhood Halloween, receiving fish as a treat. But Wanda doesn't quite remember it that way, and the twins make note that their mom hasn't been herself since Pietro showed up at her doorstep.

Vision then walks down the stairs, also decked out in comic book garb. As the couple observe Pietro fill the kids up with video games and shotgunning soda, Viz reveals he's missing out on the festivities to patrol as part of the neighborhood watch. Wanda is not pleased, miffed that her husband seems to be deviating from her plan. Pietro steps in to diffuse the situation, but the mood is still cold as Vision cautiously kisses her on the cheek.

We suddenly cut outside "The Hex" of Westview, as Monica Rambeau, Agent Jimmy Woo and Darcy Lewis confront Hayward about his unsuccessful attempt to send a missile at Wanda last episode. The S.W.O.R.D. head refuses to relent, despite the unknown of what happens to the town should she die. Monica reasons that Wanda can be both the problem and the solution, but Hayward chalks her attitude up to her absence during the Blip. "Maybe it's good you weren't here when your mother died," he says. "Because clearly you don't have the stomach for this job." He proceeds to then kick the trio out, though Monica and Woo are able to dispatch of the S.W.O.R.D. goons.

Wanda, Pietro, Tommy and Billy take to the streets, all decked out in their original costumes. While the boys run off, the other two talk about Pietro's "different" look, and how he both does and doesn't serve as a reminder of the past. But he seems to be wreaking havoc on the present well, taking all the candy and covering the neighborhood in mischief.

On top of that, Wanda learns that Vision lied about his neighborhood watch patrol. Instead, the synthezoid is observing the oddities around the neighborhood. He finds a woman in a loop hanging up decorations, a tear rolling down her face. It's a stark reminder of what he realized last episode: People are trapped underneath the characters Wanda cast them as, and they're scared.

This week's commercial takes us into the world of claymation, as a surfing shark provides a starving kid with "Yo-Magic" yogurt. Unfortunately, despite it being billed as "the snack for survivors," the child isn't able to open the yogurt. Back in Westview, Wanda and Pietro bicker about his influence, as well as her influence on him. Pietro reveals that she beckoned him, saying she "needed" him. They're interrupted by the twins, as Tommy shows off his newly-found super speed.

Back outside the Hex, our intrepid trio sneaks back into HQ, taking notice of the scene that just happened. Darcy hacks Hayward's devices and discovers he found a way to ping and track Vision. Woo takes note of life signs near the edge of town, which seem to be standing still. And the synthezoid is observing the same thing inside, as everyone seems frozen in place.

Shedding his costume, he finds Agnes stopped in her car. The neighbor creepily chuckles that she "got lost" getting to the town square. Vision pulls her out of character, and she is grateful to meet an Avenger. But she quickly drops a bomb on Vision, revealing he's dead. When he says he intends to take them out of Westview, she cackles maniacally, saying Wanda doesn't let any of them leave. As she pulls away, Vision treks into a field beyond suburbia.

Monica gets a call from someone who can get her back into the Hex. But Darcy pushes back, saying her previous trip changed her DNA. The captain refuses to stop, though, until she has helped Wanda. As Darcy stays behind to continue the hack on Hayward, Monica and Woo grab a S.W.O.R.D. jeep to meet their informant.

In town square, Wanda and Pietro look over the popping celebration. They talk about their parents before Pietro breaks the fourth wall, commending his sister on creating an entire set of child characters for "the occasional holiday episode cameo." He's surprisingly impressed at Wanda's use of her powers, and she confides in him that she doesn't know how she created this reality. All she remembers is feeling "endless nothingness." Suddenly, she sees a version of the Pietro who died, full of bullet holes.

Darcy and Hayward observe Vision, who reaches the border of the Hex. He pulls himself through the boundary, only for himself to begin to be torn apart. Suddenly, Billy hears his father's voice in his head, his own psychic powers manifesting. As a pleading Darcy is restrained, Vision tells them, "The people need help" before collapsing. Billy tells his mom what he's seeing, and Wanda suddenly stops time.

She begins to expand the Hex, bringing Vision back in the bubble and saving his life. Unfortunately, this also means several S.W.O.R.D. agents, including Darcy, have been swept up in the magic. Despite previous dialogue about Wanda's dealings being relatively harmless, the end of the episode makes one thing clear: She's a problem whose powers pose a threat to more than just a small town.

Written by Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman, WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Kathryn Hahn as Agnes. New episodes air Fridays on Disney+.
