WARNING: The following contains spoilers for WandaVision Episode 6, "All-New Halloween Spooktacular!," now streaming on Disney+.

By now, it's no secret that one of the prevailing theories about WandaVision is that the Marvel Universe's version of the devil, Mephisto, is the series' big villain. After all, clues to the demonic character's involvement have been dropped almost since the series started, from a Big Red piece of gum to an intriguing hexagon shape surrounding Westview. At this point, theories involving Mephisto are flying left and right, but we are still no closer to definitive proof of his involvement in the events in Westview.

Yet, that hasn't stopped Marvel from including even more hints that Mephisto is pulling the strings in WandaVision. Indeed, in the series' latest episode, "All-New Halloween Spooktacular!," the series drops two more clues that may point to Mephisto.

At the end of last week's installment, "On a Very Special Episode...," Wanda's brother Pietro seemingly returned to life wearing a new face. While it was initially believed this was an alternate universe version of Quicksilver, the truth may be far more sinister. In fact, "All-New Halloween Spooktacular!" makes it all but clear that Pietro isn't exactly who he says he is, and that he might have a dubious goal.

One theory is that Pietro is actually Mephisto in disguise, largely due to the fact that, when talking to his nephews Billy and Tommy, Pietro tells them to "unleash Hell, demon spawn!" Now sure, this is meant as a playful order during their Halloween adventure, but in a series where everything is a potential clue, another mention of Hell and demons is bound to be noticed by viewers.

This is even more interesting when considering that, in the comics, Wanda and Vision's children were created partially thanks to Mephisto -- which makes them, essentially, demon spawn. Since there are still plenty of questions about Billy and Tommy's mysterious arrival, the series may have just shown that it is following the comics very closely.

And that's not the only other reference to Mephisto in the episode. Another can be found in the episode's in-universe commercial for Yo-Magic yogurt. In the animated commercial, a starving child who is marooned on a small island declares he would eat anything. A shark then emerges from the water and offers him a snack in the form of Yo-Magic. However, the child is unable to open the pack of yogurt and, in a troubling sequence, eventually starves to death.

There are several potential meanings to this ad, but one of them is clearly an allusion to the devil. After all, the child's willingness to eat anything is similar to the type of request that would garner the Devil's attention in any folklore tale. It would be comparable to someone saying they're willing to sell their soul to the devil in return for a favor, and lo and behold, a monstrous creature appears from down below. In this instance, the shark could be seen as a devil figure, emerging from the depths not of Hell, but of the ocean, offering the solution to his problem.

Unfortunately, when one sells their soul to the devil, it always comes with a catch. In this case, it appears to be that the child is unable to open the yogurt, leading to his death by starvation anyway -- and the devil, seemingly, getting what he wants while living up to his side of the bargain. One has to look deeper into this commercial, but the reference to the devil is clearly there. Moreover, it might indicate further proof that Mephisto is after Billy and Tommy.

Of course, all these hints could simply be red herrings, but given the mysterious and haunting nature of the series itself, it's looking less and less likely. There might be multiple forces at work in WandaVision but, at this point, it seems Mephisto may truly be one of them.
