The plot of Disney+'s WandaVision has been the subject of several theories as details have been scarce since the show's announcement and the reveal that Vision would somehow return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe after seemingly meeting his end toward the end of Phase 3.At least three episodes were provided to reviewers, who were recently allowed to express their early responses to the show on social media. The reaction to the series appears to be largely positive, with many praising the series' lighthearted tone and sense of mystery. CBR's own Meagan Damore wrote, "[WandaVision] is Marvel like you've never seen it before," later adding, "The series is delightfully creepy, thanks in large part to some superb tonal shifts." Many critics shared similar views, applauding the uniqueness of the series and some of the risks it takes, as well as the performances of stars Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany.RELATED: WandaVision's Disney+ Premiere is a Two Episode Special

WandaVision was announced in 2018 as one of a number of limited series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame, which notably did not include Vision, who perished in Avengers: Infinity War at the hands of Thanos. It has been previously reported that the upcoming show will lead into the events of Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.

Written by Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman, WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Kathryn Hahn as Agnes. The series premieres Jan. 15 on Disney+.
