WandaVision is one of Disney+ and Marvel's most anticipated upcoming projects, featuring the Scarlet Witch and Vision in a unique, classic sitcom-inspired setting. According to its star Elizabeth Olsen, fans will also get to meet a more comic-accurate Scarlet Witch.

When The New York Times asked what Olsen could divulge about the series, she said, "WandaVision is such an incredible concept. It’s the first time we get to understand her as the Scarlet Witch that she is in the comics, and that’s exciting for me, because I haven’t yet been able to give her that time onscreen." According to Olsen, the show will examine Wanda's mental health, which has often been a plot point in more modern comics. Olsen explained, "So that’s going to be fun. She’s always been a representation of mental health and illness in the comic book series, and her major role is handling that stigma within Marvel."

When asked about Vision's role in the show, Olsen was a little dodgier, saying, "That I can’t answer, because he died in the last movie. I’m sorry. [Laughs] I know you wouldn’t care. I tell my friends, but I can’t tell you. They’re like you — they know nothing, so I just tell them everything because it doesn’t matter. I know it will go nowhere."

The star admitted that she doesn't know much about her role in the upcoming Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness film, saying "it's still kind of early."

Though she couldn't divulge much about Doctor Strange and Vision's role in WandaVision, she was able to explain how Marvel gives her free reign on what shape her character should be in. Olsen explained, "The thing that’s amazing about Marvel is that they never as producers tell anyone to get into any kind of physical shape. They don’t have expectations of you being thin or strong. They just assume that if you think your character needs that, that you will do that. It’s not something that they hold over you. I literally asked [Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios] at one point, 'So when can I have kids? When can I be pregnant?' And he goes, 'Live your life, and we’ll work around it.' I don’t think it’s happening within the next five years, but it’s something I’m really excited for."

Written by Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman, WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Kathryn Hahn as Agnes. The limited series debuts on Disney+ in December.
