WARNING: The following contains spoilers for WandaVision Episode 5, "On a Very Special Episode...," now streaming on Disney+.

If there were ever any doubt as to the identity of WandaVision's surprise cameo, the English audio description for the latest episode described the character as the X-Men movie universe's Pietro.

The final moments of "On a Very Special Episode..." show Wanda opening the door to the Vision residence, and a silver-haired gentleman standing in front of her. When the camera shows the house guest from the front, it's revealed to be Evan Peters, who portrayed Pietro/Quicksilver in 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past and 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse. The English audio description said, "In Westview, Wanda stares at the version of Pietro from the X-Men films."

While the audio narrator called out Evans as the X-Men's Pietro, fans will have to wait until the next episode of WandaVision for clarification and confirmation on if it is the same version of Pietro from Fox's X-Men universe, a Westview resident changed into Pietro or simply one of Wanda's creations.

"On a Very Special Episode..." brought up the topic of Wanda's abilities, with Monica Rambeau contending that Wanda could have beaten Thanos in Avengers: Endgame if it were not for the Mad Titan calling for an armada strike. It is still unknown if Wanda created the energy dome that surrounds Westview with her powers, or if another entity played a role in its creation.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson played Wanda's brother, Pietro, in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron. Ultron killed him in the film's climactic finale, and Monica namedropped both Pietro and Ultron in Episode 3's "Now in Color." This led to Wanda viewing Monica as a threat and expelling her out of Westview.

Marvel Studios presents WandaVision, a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) – two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives – begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems. The new series is directed by Matt Shakman; Jac Schaeffer is head writer.

Written by Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman, WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Kathryn Hahn as Agnes. New episodes air Fridays on Disney+.
