WARNING: The following contains spoilers for WandaVision Episodes 1 & 2, now streaming on Disney+.

Disney+'s WandaVision is rife with mystery. Super-couple Scarlet Witch and Vision are living an idyllic, sitcom-inspired life, but it's clearly taking place in a bubble reality. Already, in the series' first two episodes, we've seen cracks begin to form in Wanda and Vision's perfect black-and-white existence, and the series has even dropped several Easter eggs and teases as to what else may be going on behind the scenes of Westview.

Indeed, the couple's nosy neighbor Agnes isn't all she appears to be. It's believed the character is actually the evil witch Agatha Harkness, but she might not be the series' only villain. WandaVision also appears to be hinting that Mephisto, the Marvel Universe's version of the Devil, is involved in the series -- and Agnes' adorable, furry little rabbit might be further proof of that.

In "Episode 2" of WandaVision, the titular couple prepare for a magic performance they plan to present at a local fundraiser. They have costumes, props and a cabinet to make someone disappear. All that's missing is a magic show classic: a rabbit for Vision to pull out of his hat. Luckily, their neighbor Agnes has a bunny she is willing to lend them.

Before the fundraiser, Agnes visits Wanda and gives her the bunny, which she introduces as Señor Scratchy. This sounds like a perfectly valid and cute name for the furry little animal. But when looking deeper into it, it's possible the name may be teasing something far more sinister.

Indeed, Scratch, Old Scratch and even Mr. Scratch are all nicknames associated with the Devil. The pseudonym has been used in all manner of mediums, from film and music to television. Even Netflix series Lucifer and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which both feature the Devil as a major character, have used the name.

Señor Scratchy is essentially just another play on Mr. Scratch, which indicates that this may be another tease that Mephisto is behind what's happening on WandaVision. Agnes even remarks that her bunny "loves the stage," which is something that could surely be said of the Marvel Universe's Devil.

This is far from the only possible reference to the Devil that can be found in WandaVision's second episode. Indeed, Agnes makes another reference to the Lord of Darkness when housewife Dottie tells her planning committee, "the Devil is in the details," which prompts Agnes to quip to Wanda, "That's not the only place he is."

What's more, in the episode, Vision is handed a piece of Big Red gum, which causes him to malfunction and nearly reveal his true powers to the people of Westview. The gum's brand, Big Red, could also be perceived as a reference to the Devil. And now, with the furry threat of Señor Scratchy, it seems almost certain we will see Mephisto join the MCU.

Written by Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman, WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Kathryn Hahn as Agnes. New episodes air Fridays on Disney+.
