WARNING: The following contains spoilers for WandaVision Episode 4, "We Interrupt This Program," now streaming on Disney+.

No matter what decade she finds herself in, Wanda's nosy neighbor in WandaVision, Agnes, always manages to incorporate a distinctive brooch into her outfit. It features the image of three people standing together against a dark blue background, with the middle figure holding an object that resembles a scythe.

While many have pointed out that Wanda's mentor, Agatha Harkness, wears a similar brooch, adding fuel to the theory that Agnes is the live-action version of the character, the jewelry in the comics doesn't have all the three figures on it. With that said, here are a few theories about who the mysterious figures could be and how they might connect to WandaVision.

Agnes' WandaVision Brooch Could Represent the Fates

Marvel's Fates or Norns

Some have theorized that the three people on the brooch could be the Fates of Greek mythology. The three goddesses are famous for spinning, measuring and cutting the thread of life. In this way, they preside over destiny and have been associated with both birth and death. The Norse version of this trio, known as the Norns, has appeared in Marvel Comics and many characters have consulted them for wisdom or knowledge of the future.

Since the middle figure seems to be holding a scythe, a symbol often associated with the grim reaper and death, some believe they could be the three Fates, which would tie into the importance of birth and death in WandaVision. In Episode 3, Wanda gave birth to her and Vision's twin sons after only twenty-four hours, while Episode 4 confirmed that as far as the world knows, Vision is still technically dead. If Wanda has brought Vision back from the grave, the Fates might not be too happy with her.

Agnes' WandaVision Brooch Could Represent the Three Graces

Another trio in Greek mythology is the Three Graces, otherwise known as the Charites. While accounts of their names vary and there aren't always just three, they are goddesses of beauty, nature and fertility. They've been closely affiliated with Hera, Aphrodite and Apollo, and have sometimes been depicted as Aphrodite's handmaidens. They have not appeared in any Marvel comics, but some have speculated that they could be the three figures due to their connection with fertility. Since Vision is a synthezoid, it shouldn't have been possible for him to reproduce with anyone. Agnes seems to know more than the other neighbors, so it's possible she invoked the three Graces to help Wanda become pregnant.

Agnes' WandaVision Brooch Could Represent Hecate

Ms. Marvel #11 Hecate

Another interesting theory about Agnes' brooch in WandaVision's is that the three figures represent Hecate, the Greek goddess of witchcraft, magic and ghosts. She is often depicted as a woman with three faces or even three bodies, and she may have guarded the gates of Hades at one point. A version of the goddess has appeared in Marvel Comics and even teamed up with the Scarlet Witch in her 2015 solo series when Wanda needed help to defeat the Minotaur.

If Agnes is actually Agatha Harkness, it would make sense for her to have an image of the goddess of witchcraft on her brooch. In this case, the scythe could be a reference to Hecate's connection to the underworld. To add fuel to the fire, some also believe that WandaVision's third commercial featuring the slogan, "Find the goddess within," was a reference to Hecate.

Agnes' WandaVision Brooch Could Represent Vision, Wonder Man and Grim Reaper

Wonder Man and Grim Reaper

Finally, it's possible that the three figures could represent Vision, Wonder Man and the Grim Reaper. In the comics, Vision's brain patterns were based on those of Simon Williams, also known as Wonder Man, and the two came to see each other as brothers. Meanwhile, Simon's older brother, Eric, became the supervillain known as the Grim Reaper. In Vision's 2016 solo series, the Grim Reaper was actually killed by Vision's synthezoid wife, Virginia, after he attacked their children. WandaVision is taking inspiration from that run, so having Grim Reaper appear doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility.

If the middle figure is, in fact, carrying a scythe, the brooch could be a nod to these three brothers. While neither Simon nor Eric have officially appeared in the MCU yet, there's always a possibility that they could be introduced in the show.

Written by Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman, WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Kathryn Hahn as Agnes.
