Wally West's Most Traumatic Moment Revealed on Heroes in Crisis #6 Cover

Each issue of DC Comics' crossover event Heroes in Crisis, have featured a variant cover by artist Ryan Sook detailing the most traumatic moment in each of the DC Universe's superheroes' respective lives.

DC has unveiled Sook's variant for next month's sixth issue revealing the most traumatizing moment for Wally West: Barry Allen's heroic death in 1985's Crisis on Infinite Earths #8 by Marv Wolfman and George Perez. Wally's mentor had been kidnapped shortly before the events of the landmark crossover series by the Anti-Monitor only to break free and destroy the omnipotent villain's antimatter cannon at the cost of his own life.

The upcoming issue reteams the Mister Miracle creative team of writer Tom King and artist Mitch Gerads with the inner workings of the superhero rehabilitation facility of Sanctuary being explored with its virtual reality technology allowing individuals to revisit traumatic memories in the hopes they will be able to overcome them.

With the most recent issue revealing interesting developments about Wally and Sanctuary, the speedster may play a larger role yet in the series.

Heroes in Crisis #6 is written by Tom King and illustrated by Mitch Gerads. The issue is scheduled go on sale on February 27 from DC Comics.
