'Walking Dead's' Sarah Wayne Callies to Return For 'Prison Break' Revival

"The Walking Dead" alum Sarah Wayne Callies will reprise her role as Dr. Sara Tancredi in Fox's limited revival of "Prison Break."

She joins returning stars Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell ("DC's Legends of Tomorrow"), who will once again play brothers Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows.

It was previously reported that fellow “Prison Break” veterans Robert Knepper, Rockmond Dunbar and Amaury Nolasco are in talks to reprise their roles, although no deals have been made. According to The Hollywood Reporter, much of the original cast is expected to return.

Original showrunner Paul T. Scheuring is writing the project, which is said to pick up shortly after Michael's apparent death: Sara has moved on with her life, raising her Michael's child with new new husband Scott (Mark Feuerstein of "Royal Pains"). However, when clues surface suggesting Michael may be alive, Sara teams with Lincoln to orchestrate "Prison Break's" biggest escape yet.

Callies, who played Lori Grimes on the first three seasons of "The Walking Dead," currently stars opposite Josh Holloway on USA's "Colony."
