Rick and his crew are about to hit a major snag in the road as they pursue safety. A lot of purposely placed and well-parked snags in the road, as we can see in this new clip from the mid-season return of "The Walking Dead."

Judging by the state of the cars, Negan's Saviors have been using this same trick for quite some time, and the dust makes it easy to spot if the cars have been moved. Smart. The dynamite just ensures that anyone who isn't very careful is going to cause one hell of a racket. Negan does NOT want any uninvited guests.

Despite season seven’s gory premiere, “The Walking Dead” executive producers Scott Gimple and Greg Nicotero said the show has not dialed back the violence in the wake of the backlash, despite reports claiming otherwise. Meanwhile, Gale Anne Hurd, another exec producer on the show, reckon's that Rick has changed the most this season. Hopefully we'll get to see exactly what she means soon.

“The Walking Dead” returns to AMC for the second half of its seventh season on February 12 at 9 pm ET/PT. “The Walking Dead” stars Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes, Chandler Riggs as Carl Grimes, Norman Reedus as Daryl Dixon, Melissa McBride as Carol Peleteir, Lauren Cohan as Maggie Green and Danai Gurira as Michonne.
