SPOILER WARNING: This article contains spoilers ahead for the sixth and upcoming seventh season for AMC's "The Walking Dead."
We've been speculating for months now about who exactly Negan killed in the season 6 finale of "The Walking Dead." Now, we pretty much know it's not Abraham. In an interview with Popsugar, Michael Cudlitz, who plays Abe on the show, had this to say about the character's future:
"Now we get to see what a world with Negan and Abraham both in it will be like. That's something we don't see in the graphic novels. So a lot of cool stuff happens. For me, knowing that his potential death had come and gone, it was a moment to go, 'Oh cool, they really aren't going to stick with what the graphic novel does.' As a fan of both the novel and the show, it was cool."
He's of course referring to the death of Denise, who got the arrow through the eye that's reserved for Abraham in the comics. So yeah, this more or less confirms our favorite military badass is safe when season seven starts -- at least for a little while. That matches up with our death-pool prediction, which makes us wonder who else were we right about? We'll find out when "The Walking Dead" returns for season seven on Sunday, October 23, at 9 p.m. EST.
