The first season of The Walking Dead's latest spinoff series The Walking Dead: World Beyond is coming to a close, bringing its young cast against the brutal Civic Republic Military (CRM).

A trailer for the two-hour season finale sees the characters rocked by recent losses as they face CRM forces and hordes of walkers while navigating the post-apocalyptic landscape and ponder if they should continue on as a group at all.

Slated to run for two 10-episode seasons, World Beyond follows four teenagers a decade after the outbreak of the zombie apocalypse. As the group ventured outside their protected community, they discovered just how dangerous the world remains, from both the living and the undead.

World Beyond concludes its inaugural season shortly after fellow spinoff series Fear the Walking Dead reached the halfway point of its sixth season. The main Walking Dead series is poised to return for an extended epilogue of six episodes concluding its 10th season in February before moving forward with its 11th and final season.

Created by Scott Gimple, Robert Kirkman and Matt Negrete, The Walking Dead: World Beyond stars Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Annet Mahendru, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston and Nico Tortorella. The series airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on AMC.
