While details on AMC's upcoming third television series based on Robert Kirkman and Tony Moore's hit The Walking Dead comic book are still being kept under wraps, the spinoff has released its first official teaser.Posted on The Walking Dead's social media platforms, the teaser sees the series' main cast introduce a new world set after the outbreak of the undead apocalypse, hinting at previously unseen environments with rough sketches and concept art.

While specifics, including the series' official title, have still not been publicly announced, the show is expected to follow the first generation of children raised after the worldwide zombie epidemic "who grew up behind walls in a first-world situation compared to what we've seen."

Principal photography on the series recently began in Richmond, Virginia, with the pilot episode being directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts.

AMC's The Walking Dead stars Norman Reedus, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Josh McDermitt, Christian Serratos, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Nadia Hilker, Dan Fogler, Angel Theory, Lauren Ridloff and Eleanor Matsuura. The series returns for its 10th season in October.

AMC's currently untitled The Walking Dead spinoff stars Alexa Mansour, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston, Annet Mahendru and Aliyah Royale. It is expected to premiere sometime in spring 2020.
