Netflix and AMC Networks this morning unveiled a deal that will make previous seasons of The Walking Dead available exclusively on the streaming service. Season 1 is available as of today to Neflix members in the United States and Canada.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the multi-year agreement also grants Netflix non-exclusive rights to select series from AMC, IFC, Sundance Channel and WE tv, including Portlandia and The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret. Netflix is already streaming AMC's hit dramas Breaking Bad and Mad Men.

The arrangement calls for additional seasons of The Walking Dead and certain future series from AMC and Sundance Channel to be streamed instantly just before the premiere of subsequent seasons.

The Walking Dead kicks off its new season with a 90-minute premiere Oct. 16 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC.
