While The Walking Dead Season 10 was originally planned to end with its 16th episode, the production delay due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has led to bonus episodes set to premiere this February.

AMC has released a teaser trailer for the six additional episodes included in Season 10, spotlighting the various main characters as they each deal with the fallout from the recently concluded Whisperer War. While a determined Daryl Dixon sets out to solve a mystery, his counterparts reflect on the conflict and the lengths they went to defeating Alpha and Beta.

AMC previously released the official plot synopses for the bonus episodes, teasing uneasy reunions and shedding a light on several characters' backstories. Among the flashbacks is the origins of Negan, with the character's late wife revealed through the antihero recalling how he came to lead the Saviors through the zombie apocalypse.

The six bonus episodes precede Season 11, which has been confirmed to be the series' last before the franchise continues with another set of spinoffs from the main series, including one starring Daryl and Carol Peletier.

The Walking Dead stars Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Josh McDermitt, Christian Serratos, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Seth Gilliam, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton and Cooper Andrews. Season 10 returns Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021, at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT on AMC.
