As the return of The Walking Dead looms ever closer, AMC released a new sneak peek of Season 10.
As Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier survey their community, they appear to be thriving in the aftermath of Season 9's bloody confrontation with the Whisperers. Carol soon reveals she has been receiving letters from former main character Maggie Greene.
Maggie left in the middle of Season 9 with her baby Hershel to live with a mysterious character named Georgie. Actor Lauren Cohan has previously expressed interest in returning to the AMC to reprise her role, an interest similarly shared by showrunner Angela Kang.
However, since Maggie's departure, the villainous Negan redeemed himself by saving Judith Grimes -- and he appears to have gained his freedom. As the man that murdered Maggie's husband Glen, this may make for an interesting, if potentially violent, reunion in Season 10.
AMC's The Walking Dead stars Norman Reedus, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Josh McDermitt, Christian Serratos, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Nadia Hilker, Dan Fogler, Angel Theory, Lauren Ridloff and Eleanor Matsuura. The series returns for its 10th season in October.
