The #ReleaseTheSnyderCut campaign has a fan in The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman.

At The Walking Dead's Season 10 premiere, Kirkman joined stars like Jeffrey Dean Morgan. When ComicBook.com asked Morgan about his chances at playing Flashpoint Batman in the DC Extended Universe, Kirman had an additional comment: "Release the Snyder Cut!"

When writer-director Zack Snyder departed Justice League due to a family tragedy, the film underwent a lot of changes. A major one was that Snyder's plans for a trilogy were cut. There was once an increased emphasis on Cyborg and his family, Wonder Woman would probably have killed Steppenwolf and Darkseid would have appeared in the film, in addition to a lot of other tidbits. Most of the movie never made it passed the early stages before Joss Whedon.

Nevertheless, a group of fans has called on Warner Bros. to release this early cut of the film. The campaign uses the hashtag #ReleaseTheSnyderCut to spread its message. Often, these supporters respond to social media messages by Warner Bros. and DC executives with demands for the Snyder cut, even if the original post has nothing to do with the subject.

Kirkman isn't the only high-profile supporter of the Snyder cut. Filmmaker Kevin Smith believes it should be released, while comic book creator Rob Liefeld has pledged his support to the cause.

No plans for the Snyder cut's release have been announced at this time.
