The Walking Dead Confirms Rick Grimes' Final Episode

Rick Grimes' final episode on The Walking Dead has been confirmed by AMC.

Promos for upcoming episodes in the current ninth season of the popular survival horror series have revealed that Andrew Lincoln's character has two remaining appearances following Sunday's third episode. That puts Grimes' final episode at the fifth episode of the season, titled "What Comes After," scheduled to air on Sunday, Nov. 4.

Following the conclusion of the eighth season, it was revealed that Lincoln would be departing the Image Comics adaptation midway through its ninth season in order to spend more time with his family.

Appearing since the series premiere in October 2010 as former sheriff Rick Grimes, Lincoln is one of the few remaining cast members to have been with the series since its first season. And judging by tension brewing within the survivor community since the Season 9 premiere, the embattled leader may find one crisis even he cannot overcome.
