The Walking Dead suffered its biggest ratings dip in five years last Sunday. Don’t fret, though, Walking Dead fans, your favorite show might be about reanimated zombie hordes, but it’s hardly shambling. The post-apocalypse drama was still the highest-rated television show in the under-50 demographic for the night and managed to draw in 8.92 million viewers.
That number might sound pretty decent, but the show regularly sees over 10 million viewers tune in for their weekly dose of Rick and the gang. Additionally, The Walking Dead’s 4.0 Nielsen rating is the worst the series has seen since the penultimate episode of Season 2.

One possible reason for the dip was the highly-rated World Series game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Houston Astros that aired on Fox in the same timeslot. The night also saw ratings dip for series like Outlander and Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
