AMC's "The Walking Dead" has just promoted three of its recurring cast members to series regular status ahead of the show's eighth season premiere.

According to TVLine the incoming regulars are Steven Ogg, who plays Negan's lieutenant Simon, but is probably still best known as the the unpredictable Trevor Philips in the video game "GTA V," Katelyn Nacon, who plays Carl's crush Enid and Pollyanna Macintosh, who plays the Jadis, the leader of the Junkyard faction of survivors.

The trio will now likely see their names alongside the show's existing stars each week during the show's opening credits.

Of course, becoming a "Walking Dead" series regular is no guarantee of longevity on the show — Season 7 saw a number of main and recurring cast members bite the dust, including fan-favorites Glenn (Steven Yuen), Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) and Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green).
