The Walking Dead executive producer David Alpert has signed on to create content for Samsung's newly unveiled virtual reality headset, Variety reports.
The news was announced at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Alpert declined to comment on whether the project would tie in with AMC's massive hit zombie series, or if the foray into virtual reality would involve zombies at all. Alpert has been with The Walking Dead as a producer since its debut in 2010. He also serves as Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman's producing partner through their company, Skybound Entertainment.
Samsung's new virtual reality component will be added to Milk, its music and video streaming service. The announcement comes as Samsung begins pushing Milk into the forefront of media consumers' minds; Milk Music and Video will soon be offered through Samsung's line of smart TVs and PCs.
Milk VR will include roughly 30 titles from various production companies, including Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman's Skybound Entertainment. The NBA, Artists Den, Refinery29, Matador Red Bull Media House, Mountain Dew, Boiler Room and Acura are among the other companies listed as partnering with Samsung's Milk VR.
