The Specialist star James Woods tweeted a critique of AMC's The Walking Dead that prompted a response from current star Jeffrey Dean Morgan and former star Michael Cudlitz.
Woods tweeted, "Now that [The Walking Dead] has become an all-chick zombie series, you realize they should have spent whatever it took to keep Andrew Lincoln. #EstrogenFest."
Cudlitz responded first, writing, "Actually, Andrew left to spend time with his kids and family money was not an issue. Youre a terrific actor James and I’ve admired your talent for years...... but sometimes you just talk out of your ass. ✌️#thinkbeforeyoutweet."
Morgan then got in on the action, saying, "MC cutting thru the bullshit. Nice."

Andrew Lincoln departed the series following the 5th episode of Season 9, "What Comes After." However, he didn't die, and Lincoln is set to reprise his role in an upcoming trilogy of films centered around the character.
Despite the sizable drop from the midseason premiere, the survival horror series remains the most-viewed cable series on television and has already been renewed by AMC for a 10th season, which will premiere sometime in October.
Airing Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC, The Walking Dead stars Norman Reedus, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Alanna Masterson, Josh McDermitt, Christian Serratos, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Nadia Hilker, Dan Fogler, Angel Theory, Lauren Ridloff and Eleanor Matsuura
