Ahead of this October's 10th annual New York Comic Con, ReedPOP has announced via press release the second ever New York Super Week -- a weeklong lineup of 100 events taking place all over the city's five boroughs. The series of events stretch from October 5 to 11 and culminate with the 10th annual New York Comic Con.
This year's Super Week is headlined by a "The Walking Dead" fan event at Madison Square Garden and a Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular in Brooklyn's Barclays Center. Additional events include a special taping of the comedy podcast "How Did This Get Made?," Kevin Smith and Ralph Garman's "Hollywood Babble-On," a stand-up special with comedian and former "Deadpool" writer Brian Posehn, a concert from Darryl "DMC" McDaniels, a Rock n' Comix concert featuring "Uncanny Inhumans" writer Charles Soule and much, much more.
"New York Super Week was created because quite frankly, New York Comic Con had outgrown itself and there is so much demand out there for unique fan experiences," said Lance Fensterman, Senior Global Vice President ReedPOP, in the release. "We've learned some things from last year and we're working on making things even greater for our fans."
Tickets for each New York Super Week event are sold individually and vary depending on the event; comprehensive ticketing info can be found at NewYorkSuperweek.com. For more information on the events, you can check out the press release below or visit NY Superweek's website.
