Carl Grimes leads parallel lives. In The Walking Dead comic, he lives a long life after the [SPOILER ALERT] untimely murder of his father. He and his family get to see a world (mostly) free of the undead. It's a happy ending after a nightmarish childhood.

Not so much for the TV Carl. He was bitten by a zombie and hid it for a while. Eventually, this Carl ended his life to spare others. Nevertheless, his spirit lives on in hilarious memes that still rotate around the internet.

10 Dead People

Cole Sear sees dead people while Carl kills them again.

In the classic film The Sixth Senseyoung Cole Sear declares he can see dead people. It's an enormous plot point in the movie that leads to a surprising revelation for the character portrayed by Bruce Willis. However, there's a difference between seeing dead people and killing them one more time.

That's why this meme is not only hilarious but also sends a jolt of pride through viewers of TWD. Despite his age, Carl Grimes was ready with a gun to eliminate the dead people he encountered. Most likely, if Cole and Carl got together, the latter would've killed everyone the former saw.

9 Pudding

If there's pudding, then Carl will follow.

Being under constant threat of Walkers puts people on edge. This was Carl even before someone shot his eye out. Though he had a positive disposition, he was still wary.

That's what happens in this meme. Enid wants him to come with her. Of course, Carl declines the offer. However, saying that she has pudding causes the young man to throw caution to the wind and join her. Then again, if there's no pudding, Carl's likely to kill her on the spot.

8 Dart Board

Rick's dart board isn't funny for Carl.

Here's an example that reveals Negan's poor sense of humor when it comes to Carl's injuries. The teenage boy is minus an eye and feeling down. So, Negan tries to cheer him up with a dartboard. Apparently, one that's big enough for Carl to hit in some way.

Obviously, Carl isn't amused. In fact, there's a good chance he would pull the gun from Negan's holster and shoot him in the eye to see how it feels. To put it another way, you don't mess with Carl.

7 Dad Humor

Dad humor appears in "TWD."

Despite the constant threat of death everyone faces on The Walking Dead there are still situations where Carl asked his dad to leave him alone. Especially when Rick threw out a dad joke. One so groan-inducing that everyone thought one of the Walkers was among their group.

Such is the case with Rick's Star Wars joke based on Chewbacca. It's a true embarrassment for Carl, and that's something hard to accomplish. He and his father are like two peas in a pod.

6 Dad Humor, Part 2

Another "TWD" Dad Humor example.

This time it didn't come from Carl's dad. In fact, Rick is the one who asks the other party to stop.

It comes down to a mispronunciation of Carl's name. He's called "Arl." That leads to a correction by Rick and the launch of the dad humor. It's something the older Grimes isn't amused about.

5 No Good Ideas

Didn't the "TWD" writers have any ideas other than killing Carl?

The last issue of The Walking Dead was all Carl. Set 25 years into the future, it showed the middle-aged Grimes, now married with a daughter, in the midst of court proceedings after he kills a lone Walker. As the story closes, he talks about his father and what happened to many of the others he met during the most chaotic days.

In this meme, Carl complains that the writers of the series didn't have similar ideas as Robert Kirkman did to close out the comic side of TWD. So, they decided to kill him instead. It's funny and somewhat ironic at the same time.

4 Where's Carl?

In "TWD," Rick wasn't a hands-on father.

Rick Grimes had an interesting way of raising Carl. He was neither authoritarian nor authoritative. Basically, he was trying not to be bitten by a Walker. So, there were some moments where, after he told Carl to stay put, the young man still left his relative safety.

The result is this poster that might've been put up when Carl disappeared... again. The best chuckles come from the description of what might've happened to the boy and the tear-off tabs. The thing is, yelling loudly would probably draw attention to the person who saw Carl. In turn, they would've been killed by Walkers before anyone could rescue the younger Grimes.

3 Snickers Doesn't Satisfy

In "TWD" universe, Snickers don't satisfy.

There are moments in life where a Snickers bar doesn't satisfy. Particularly if you're beginning to show zombie-like traits. In particular, eating things that are still alive. This goes beyond foraging for plants and berries. It means dining on defenseless animals.

This is why Carl is so ticked in this meme. He gave Enid a Snickers bar so she could quench her hunger. Granted, it's not as tasty as blood from a living being. However, according to Carl, peanuts and nougat covered in milk chocolate is always a winner.

2 Half Of It

The pun makes a comeback in this meme.

The pun has made a comeback over the last few years. It's seen in many places, including social media and the memes that populate the platforms. Hence, the reason this example is funny.

Of course, being shot in the eye by Ron Anderson wasn't humorous. However, Rickstuff takes an opportunity to create a pun about it. Though there are only two examples, one hundred could be added and it would still be hilarious.

1 You'll Shoot Your Eye Out

Carl isn't too pleased about his father's threat.

In the show, Carl's father, Rick Grimes, leads a pack of human survivors. His goal is to kill as many zombies as possible while also establishing some form of normalcy for his family. He did this with a mixture of compassion and threats.

Unfortunately, Rick's threat is disconcerting to Carl, who lost an eye during one of their group's seemingly unending battles. Truthfully, the young man's sarcasm is warranted this time around.
