"The Walking Dead" wrapped up its seventh season on Sunday with a finale that was heavy on action and emotion, with the death of a major character, and a flashback featuring Abraham, who was killed in the season premiere. However, it appears he may not be the last of Negan's victims to return to the AMC drama.

As Maggie moves closer to giving birth, Steve Yeun's Glenn could find his way back on the series, in either a flashback or hallucination. It's "certainly possible," executive producer Scott Gimple told TVLine. “I’d be silly to say it isn’t.”

But, if a Glenn sighting were to be tied to his baby’s arrival, viewers might have a long wait ahead of them. “She might not be that close,” Gimple added. “Things have been moving pretty quickly, but not a lot of time has passed.”

While the action is indeed brisk, Gimple assured fans earlier this week that the television series won't follow in the footsteps of HBO's "Game of Thrones" and outpace its source material. "I don’t know if anyone sat down to do the math, but if the show is gaining on the comic book," he said, "it’s at a very slow pace.”

"The Walking Dead" returns for its eighth season this fall on AMC.
