Ahead of the publisher's appearance at Comic-Con International: San Diego next month, Skybound Entertainment has revealed its line of convention-exclusive Walking Dead action figures from McFarlane Toys, inspired by the cherished '80s G.I. Joe figures that were sold alongside the run of the acclaimed animated series back in the day.

The line, referred to as "Shiva Force" -- of course, named after Ezekiel's trusty tiger sidekick from the comics and TV series -- come with authentic retro packaging with artwork from Jason Edmiston. The five-inch figures are being sold together in a gift-box (in regular color and a "bloody" variant), which will include characters Rick Grimes, Michonne, Ezekiel and Shiva. The gift-boxes are limited to 1000 copies each and are priced at $100 USD.

The press release touts a fifth Shiva Force figure, Jesus, which will be available in the summer MegaBox from Skybound; you can sign up at the MegaBox website today.

And, in the spirit of the classic '80s G.I. Joe line, Skybound has debuted a snazzy promo inspired by those beloved retro commercials. Check it out for yourself, below.

The Shiva Force will reportedly be featured in Scopely’s role-playing mobile game The Walking Dead: Road to Survival starting on July 20. Ezekiel will be available for free, starting on July 20 as well and running for a limited time.
