Cable channel AMC has announced plans to air a two-hour retrospective, titled "The Walking Dead: Journey So Far," on Sunday, October 16.
The show, which will feature interviews with "The Walking Dead" cast and executive producers along with clips from key moments in series history, is AMC's solution to a problem that many long-running shows face - how to get new and occasional viewers caught up ahead of a new season.
However, "The Walking Dead: Journey So Far" promises to have plenty to satisfy the parent show's most committed fans too. As AMC's press release puts it, "The Walking Dead: Journey So Far" is aimed at providing "fans who‘ve never missed a moment with fresh interviews with the series' producers and their favorite actors as part of an exciting refresher course that will further whet their appetite for the new season."
And once everyone is up-to-date with the precarious position in which Rick and crew find themselves going into "The Walking Dead" Season 7, there's only one more week to wait until its October 23 premiere.
