As The CW continues to move forward with the Walker, Texas Ranger reboot, the network has added another CW alum by casting The 100's Lindsey Morgan.

Morgan is set to play opposite Supernatural's Jared Padalecki's title character Cordell Walker as his partner, Micki, one of the first female rangers in Texas Rangers history.

In a character description, Micki is described as "Walker’s new partner who was born and raised in San Antonio. Described as focused and perceptive, her family has been in Texas since before it was Texas. She’s been in the Army and on the police force and knows first-hand what it’s like to be singled out and discriminated against because of her gender."

The series will be Padalecki's first post-Supernatural role, and Morgan's first role after The 100. The series has been given a full-season order by The CW, with Padalecki set not only to star in but executive produce the series.

Created by Albert S. Ruddy & Leslie Greif, Walker, Texas Ranger famously starred Chuck Norris in the title role. It ran for nine seasons, between 1993 and 2001, on CBS. Walker is intended to be "a straight reboot" of this series as the title character will be a man family who tries to reconnect with his children and fight for justice at the same time.

Viewers can catch Padalecki in Supernatural Season 15 airing Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW and Morgan in The 100, which will air its seventh and final season this year.
