The ninth episode of Walker will see Cordell Walker bet it all, quite literally, on learning more about who killed Emily Walker and why.

Titled "Time. Place. Collateral," The CW show's ninth episode synopsis teases Walker and his superior Captain Larry James infiltrating a poker match to get closer to a card shark who knows about what happened on Emily Walker's last night. However, an unexpected hiccup complicates their investigation when Walker's friend Geri becomes a player in the poker game.

The official synopsis for Walker's ninth episode reads,

WALKER CLOSES IN ON EMILY'S KILLER – Walker (Jared Padalecki) and Captain James (Coby Bell) investigate a high stakes poker game where one of the players may have information on Emily's killer. However, the night takes a turn when Geri (Odette Annable) shows up to join the game. Meanwhile, Micki (Lindsey Morgan) takes August (Kale Culley) and Stella (Violet Brinson) on an unusual adventure. The episode was written by Bret VandenBos and directed by Steve Robin (#109). Original airdate 4/15/2021.

Recent Walker episodes revealed a much larger conspiracy behind Emily's murder. Walker's brother Liam initially alerted James to an irregularity in her case file. Upon further investigation into his wife's convicted killer, Carlos Mendoza, Walker discovers that Mendoza's niece sells artwork in Mexico and several payments for paintings were billed through corporate ties to Geri's bar, the Sidestep.

Further mysteries surrounding their revelation involve Geri initially trying to sell the Sidestep, only for Walker to top her initial offer using money from Emily's life insurance, and Carlos' daughter recognizing James during his and Liam's trip to Mexico for more answers.

In Walker's sixth episode, it was also revealed that Trevor, the boy dating his daughter Stella, is the son of Clint West -- who Walker helped arrest while posing in his gang as "Duke." Despite seeing more of Walker's compassionate side in the episode "Tracks," Trevor remains conflicted between a desire to avenge his father and his growing feelings for Stella.

Walker stars Jared Padalecki, Lindsey Morgan, Keegan Allen, Mitch Pileggi, Molly Hagan and Coby Bell. New episodes air Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
