The following contains spoilers for Walker Season 3, Episode 10, "Blinded by the Light," which debuted Thursday, Jan. 26 on The CW.

Though Cordell Walker, his brother Liam and their investigative journalist acquaintance Julia all escaped from an anarchist group at the beginning of Walker Season 3, they are far from safe. Walker mounts an investigation after receiving a package left at his doorstep by an unknown source while additional terrorists appear to remain at large. Meanwhile, Captain Larry James appears to be angrier than usual, with recent recruit Trey Barnett earning the brunt of his ire for an unknown reason.

Walker examines the ominous package he was sent with Julia, who shares his suspicion that it was sent by the anarchists that kidnapped them. The conversation is tabled when Walker is summoned to Texas Rangers headquarters by Captain James alongside Cassie Perez and Trey, with Julia warning Walker to be careful about whom he trusts among the Rangers. James dresses down his three Rangers for recent insubordination. He submits Trey to be reviewed by a state government board for a disciplinary hearing before chewing out Walker and Cassie for a separate incident.

Following the unhappy meeting, Walker decides to work with Julia to investigate the package and the potential traitor within the Rangers without notifying his fellow officers, including James. Julia’s research indicates that the anarchist group -- a paramilitary organization known as Grey Flag -- may be linked to Marines who served alongside Walker during his time in Afghanistan. When Julia begins reviewing the personnel files of other Marines in Walker’s unit, she finds several have died abruptly. Tommy Adams is the only other man alive in the unit, making him the prime suspect behind Grey Flag.

After going on a date with Cassie, her boyfriend Kevin tries to use his pull at the mayor’s office to keep Trey from facing the disciplinary hearing, which frustrates Cassie due to its conflict of interest implications. That night, Walker and Julia move to Tommy’s suspected home off the grid. Julia arms herself before planning to interrogate Tommy, much to Walker’s chagrin. But Tommy is prepared for them and claims that he sent the package to Walker to get his attention because their unit is being systematically hunted down and killed.
