WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Walker Season 2, Episode 6, "Douglas Fir," which aired Thursday, December 9th on The CW.

It's Christmastime in Texas, and the yuletide good cheer is undercut by family rivalries, uncomfortable truths and a high-speed heist involving the local crime syndicate the Northside Nation. And though Cordell Walker and his family are able to come together to ring in the holidays, divisions grow deeper and by the time the Texan air fills with swirling snow and harmonious Christmas carols, one longtime character has decided to hit the road and leave town for the foreseeable future.

A group of gunmen wearing reindeer masks intercept the transport containing incriminating evidence on Northside Nation's nefarious leader Serrano, incapacitating the guard escorting such a deadly criminal and seizing a van containing the evidence for themselves. District Attorney Denise Davidson-Miller alerts Walker and Liam of the heist while they adorn the ranch with Christmas decorations. Meanwhile, Micki Ramirez reveals the truth of her past relationship to the fallen gangbanger Garrison and the circumstances surrounding his death to Trey Barnett, with the two reconciling over this... for now.

While following up on a lead regarding the evidence theft, Walker and Liam encounter Denise's husband Dan Miller, who appears to be hiding similar contraband to the gunmen that carried out the heist. Though Walker and Liam are suspicious of finding Dan on the scene, especially after spotting him hiding a shotgun, but let him go as they don't have anything to act on. The encounter reignites Liam's past trauma of being shot by the Northside Nation and his paranoia surrounding the Davidsons. Davidson family matriarch Gail conveniently approaches the Walker brothers over lunch and tries to cover for Dan, though Walker's own suspicions are aroused by conversation while Liam steps out and quietly busts one of the taillights on Dan's truck.

The Walker brothers and police track down the gunmen at a nearby garage as they struggle to breach the van to extract the evidence. After taking down the gunmen, Walker feels that this clears up Dan of suspicion and feels as though they owe him an apology. However, on the ride home, they come across Dan being busted by the police, with Liam ashamedly admitting he put in a false call on Dan to initiate the bust and see if he was up to something. Walker admonishes his brother for this, pointing out such a reckless move on a petty grudge could jeopardize his entire career.

Micki and Trey visit the local high school's holiday celebrations, where Trey is lauded for all his work as a school counselor and soccer coach while August maneuvers himself to impress his latest crush, though his shoulder is still injured from enduring a recent fall back at the ranch. Trey tacitly implies that Micki accepted the undercover assignment when their relationship was becoming much more serious, an implication that leads to a bitter argument between the two. Guilty over what he had done, Liam admits to Denise what he did to Dan at the high school Christmas celebrations while August and Dan's son entertain the crowd.

As Bonham arrives at the school dressed up as Santa Claus to light up its Christmas tree, August confesses to his father that he hurt himself venturing into the burned-out barn on the ranch; while taken aback, Walker understands why his son would go into such a traumatic location for the Walker and Davidson families. Though Micki and Trey are able to make amends, she feels she is better suited to rediscovering who she is in light of everything that's gone on back in her hometown of San Antonio. Captain Larry James and Walker reluctantly accept Micki's resignation back at the Texas Ranger headquarters as she thanks them for their time together before walking off into the night alone.

To see Walker's next adventure, the series airs Thursdays at 8pm ET/PT on The CW, with new episodes available to stream the next day on The CW App.
