Odette Annable, who appeared in Season 3 of Supergirl as the villain Reign, is the latest addition to the Walker, Texas Ranger reboot.
Annable will have a recurring role as Geri, whom the show calls "an old friend of Walker and his late wife, Emily, who hasn't seen Walker since Emily's funeral. It's clear that she and Walker have a history — a friendship and a shared tragedy," as reported by Entertainment Weekly. Geri bartends at the Side Step bar in Austin, Texas.
Annable appeared on Supergirl as Samantha Arias, a working single mother with a daughter named Ruby. Although Arias was raised as a human, she later learned that she was actually a Kryptonian sent to Earth as a baby before its destruction. Her mother, Selena, unleashed her bioengineered powers and revealed her destiny was to become one of the five Worldkillers. As Reign, Arias aimed to remake Earth as New Krypton and cared little about who she killed to reach that goal. Reign appeared during Season 3 and in the 100th episode in Season 5.
Annable's other television credits include Pure Genius, The Astronaut Wives' Club, Banshee, House, You Again, The Holiday, Rush and Two and a Half Men.
Starring Jared Padalecki, the reboot of 1993-2001's Walker, Texas Ranger focuses on widowed father of two Cordell Walker reuniting with his family. Walker premieres on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021 on The CW.
