Disney+'s Vision and the Scarlet Witch series just found its showrunner in Captain Marvel writer Jac Schaeffer.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Schaeffer will write the pilot episode in addition to executive producing the series. This isn't her only Disney property in development; she also penned the screenplay for Marvel's upcoming film about Black Widow. Her past credits include Olaf's Frozen Adventure and TiMER.

Scarlet Witch made her debut in the mid-credits scene for Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Vision first appeared in Avengers: Age of Ultron, which featured Scarlet Witch prominently. The two went on to have a romantic relationship, though the events of Avengers: Infinity War left Vision dead and Scarlet Witch as one of the many victims of Thanos' snap. Elizabeth Olson and Paul Bettany are expected to reprise their roles in the Disney+ series.

In addition to Vision and the Scarlet Witch, Disney+ has a Loki miniseries in development. A series featuring Winter Soldier and Falcon is also reportedly in the works, though Avengers: Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo are not involved.

The Scarlet Witch miniseries does not have an official release date or cast outside of Olsen and Paul Bettany, but Disney+ is expected to launch sometime next year.
