Ryan Meinerding, who has served as Head of Visual Development on several Marvel Studios films, recently offered fans another look at what Vision's demise might have looked like in 2018's Avengers: Infinity War

An image shared by Meinerding on Instagram provides a detailed look at Vision in the moment directly after Thanos rips the Mind Stone from the android superhero's forehead.

Avengers: Infinity War showed Thanos on his final mission to collect all the Infinity Stones and bring his own form of balance to the universe. The Mind Stone embedded in Vision's head is the last piece. After the villain inevitably collects all the stones, he snaps his fingers, causing half the population of the entire universe to go up in dust.

Despite the finality of his death, Vision is set to reappear in the upcoming Disney+ series, WandaVision, though it is unclear whether this will be the real Vision or just a figment of Wanda Maximoff's imagination. Created by Jac Schaeffer, the series is set to feature six episodes and is currently scheduled to release in December.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Bettany, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Tom Hiddleston and Josh Brolin. The film is available on Digital HD, Blu-ray, 4K UHD and streaming.
