Viper Comics Gets Sleepy This October Just In Time For Halloween

Official Press Release

Strange things are afoot in the town of Sleepy Hollow, NY - - a quaint suburban landscape that is as beautiful as its name is infamous. It's here that stories of the supernatural and otherworldly have been passed down for generations because it's here that they occur in every backyard and on every doorstep. But whatever mysteries have taken place here over the years, it's the town itself that has kept them a secret from the rest of the world for centuries - - until now.

The Sleepy Truth, the latest graphic novel from creator Jason M. Burns (The Expendable One, A Dummy's Guide to Danger), tells the story of four kids who embrace their 1 st amendment rights and begin printing a newspaper called The Sleepy Truth, a weekly expose on all things bizarre in the town Sleepy Hollow. Not everyone is happy with the newspaper however, including the mysterious councilman Cornelius Crane (great, great grandson of Ichabod Crane) who would prefer that the town's secrets remain secret.

"We are very excited about this project because it combines the elements of two fantastic past properties… The Goonies and The X-Files," states Viper Comics President Jessie Garza. "From front cover to back, the book is just a fun ride for all ages and we feel that people… kids and adults… will find themselves getting lost in this world."

The Sleepy Truth features art by Erik Valdez y Alanis and colors by Ramon Espinoza.

No stranger to Viper Comics, Burns is the creator/writer of popular titles A Dummy's Guide to Danger, The Underworld Railroad, Borderland and The Expendable One, the story of a hapless indestructible hero that was recently optioned for film by Intrepid Pictures.
