CBR is reporting LIVE from the Violent Night premiere at New York Comic Con 2022 showing David Harbour's dark Christmas movie for the very first time.

The premiere is being shown days after the film's first trailer released. The movie comes from the mind of director Tommy Wirkola, the premise being that a group of mercenaries breaks into a family's home on Christmas and have to face the wrath of none other than Santa Claus. Harbour plays this holly, jolly and deadly version of Saint Nick in the holiday tale.

As attendees filed in, they were handed bloody-looking Santa hats and treated to holiday carols and music from a live choir, the New York Holiday Singers, dressed for Christmas. The panel is being held in the Empire Stage of the Javits Center, and many heads in the crowd are sporting their new Santa hats to create a sea of white and red across the room.

As the carolers finished, the crowd erupted into cheers and applause.

Producers David Leach and Kelly McCormick appeared in a recording to thank the cast, crew and attendees, being that they are away filming their next movie, The Fall Guy.

Wirkola appeared on the stage and began introducing the panel's stars, John Leguizamo and David Habour, both as a surprise appearance.

"I had to screen this movie for my friends in New York!" Harbour exclaimed after saying he is supposed be in Europe at the moment. Leguizamo added that this movie is "So violent."

Then, the movie began to play for the attendees. The movie did feature a lot of violence, as promised by Leguizamo.

The crowd filed out of the room as the credits rolled, which do feature a mid-credits scene for moviegoers.

With that, the presentation ended.

Violent Night is coming down the chimney and into theaters on December 2, 2022.
