ORANGE, CA -- 20 December, 2001 -- Maybe it's just the holiday season, but alook back at the early days of one of this year¹s surprise gems just got alittle fatter. Image Comics has announced that when Violent Messiahs:Genesis arrives in stores on December 28, it will be at an expanded pagecount of 64 pages.

Serving as a document of the early days of this genre-bending series,Violent Messiahs: Genesis showcases the amazing artistry of penciler ToneRodriguez, the early works of up and coming writer Joshua Dysart and thegraphic-noir style of "Citizen Pain" designer William O'Neill. Included areearly sketches, the original black-and-white story first published in 1997by Hurricane Ent., and the series prologue from the recent Wizard 1/2 storyfeaturing the raw energy of Rodriguez's uninked pencils. The result is atreasure trove of hard-to-find material that was literally too big for thebook in its original size.
