Vincent Curatola Joins Brad Pitt, James Gandolfini In Cogan’s Trade

Vincent Curatola, best known for playing mob boss Johnny Sack in The Sopranos, will reteam with James Gandolfini for Cogan’s Trade, Risky Business reports.

Brad Pitt leads a cast that also includes Sam Rockwell, Richard Jenkins and, although unconfirmed, Casey Affleck and Mark Ruffalo in director Andrew Dominik’s comic caper.

An adaptation of George V. Higgins’ bestselling 1974 novel, Cogan’s Trade centers on Jackie Cogan (Pitt), an enforcer called in to investigate a heist that takes place during a high-stakes card game under the protection of the Boston mob. Gandolfini portrays a washed-up alcoholic hit man brought in by Cogan for his first job in a long time, while Curatola plays a man recently released from prison who seeks revenge on those who sent him there.

Produced by the Weinstein Co. and Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment, Cogan’s Trade will begin shooting in New Orleans later this month. It’s set to open early next year.
