Comic book movie fans can get a first look at Vin Diesel in the title role of director Dave Wilson's Bloodshot.

Valiant and Sony hope to craft their own superhero movie universe to rival both Marvel and DC, and are starting the ball rolling with Bloodshot. The Internet has been swirling with fan renditions of what Diesel could look like as the meta-morphing soldier, but the official first look at what the actor will look like as the character has arrived from an unexpected, yet totally logical source.

In conjunction with Microsoft, Paul Walker's Reach Out WorldWide (ROWW) charity is auctioning Bloodshot-related merchandise during the livestream Game4Paul event. A variety of items are on display, but of particular interest is a copy of Bloodshot Salvation #12 that features variant cover art by Lewis LaRosa. As well as being signed by Diesel, it gives an idea of what he'll look like in the movie.

If nothing changes, it looks like Wilson is going for a comic book-accurate Bloodshot and the movie will prominently feature his signature red spot.

As it stands, Bloodshot is scheduled to be the focus of Valiant and Sony’s first two movies, followed by a pair based on Harbinger and a fifth that will feature a crossover between the two franchises. Diesel is currently filming Bloodshot with a 2020 release date in sight. The movie also stars Eiza Gonzalez, Guy Pearce, Toby Kebell and Sam Heughan.

October 11 is the fourth Game4Paul event, taking place on what would have been the late actor's 45th birthday. As part of the organization's work, ROWW is auctioning the Bloodshot merchandise to raise money for the cause. The Game4Paul livestream begins at 4pm ET and can be viewed on the official Xbox Twitch channel.
