As the main villain for the Infinity Saga, Thanos set into motion some of the most important events in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. While he remained mostly behind-the-scenes for most of that time, most of Avengers: Infinity War focused on the Mad Titan gathering up the Infinity Stones and using the Infinity Gauntlet to wipe out half the universe. At the start of Avengers: Endgame, the surviving heroes went to Thanos, with Thor deciding to cut off the villain's head and end him once and for all. Later, a version of Thanos from the past jumped through time in an attempt to once again accomplish his goal, but he too was wiped out. However, this might not be the last we see of Thanos. In this video, we're going to explain why Thanos might have faked his death in Endgame.

Right now, this is definitely an unconfirmed theory, and there hasn't been any official announcement about whether Thanos will return. Still, Thanos had access to the Time Stone at one point, and that could have dire ramifications in the future.

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, it's not totally clear just what shape the next phase of the MCU will take. While there's a good indication the characters Disney acquired from 21st Century Fox will soon arrive, there's not much solid information on just when or how that might happen. Right now, a number of productions have either been delayed or had their release dates changed as a result of the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. However, at this time, there's no indication those delays will affect the plots of any of the projects.
