First appearing in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Vision is one of the most powerful heroes on Earth, even if he hasn't gotten too many opportunities to really showcase his skills in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In this new video, we're going to explain why Vision is one of the most overpowered Avengers and why the MCU didn't allow him to live up to his full potential.

Made from Vibranium and with the Mind Stone as his power source, Vision is immediately a force with which to be reckoned. This combination should have made him essentially unstoppable, as he showed when he deployed his incredible powers against Ultron and lifted Thor's hammer. In his first few seconds of life, Vision attacked the Avengers and showed his abilities, though he quickly calmed down. Since then, he's been an official member of the team, though he's taken on something a support role. Vision serves as a voice of reason in Captain America: Civil War until he fires a blast that takes down War Machine.

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, it's not totally clear just what shape the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will take. While there's a good indication the characters Disney acquired from 21st Century Fox will soon arrive, there's not much solid information on just when or how that might happen. While he may have died in Avengers: Infinity War, Vision, for his part, will return in the Disney+ series WandaVision, though it's not clear just how or why. That series has been delayed as a result of the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
