There are few characters fans of Marvel want to see in the Marvel Cinematic Universe more than Namor. While many took a reference to underwater earthquakes in Avengers: Endgame to be a sign of Namor's impending arrival, we still don't know for certain just when the Sub-Mariner will make his MCU debut, though rumors claim he'll be the villain of Black Panther 2. However, there's a chance one of Namor's key locations -- Atlantis -- will appear in The Eternals before it sank.

Created by Bill Everett, Namor made his first official appearance in 1939's Marvel Comics #1. The son of a human sea captain and a princess of Atlantis, Namor had absolutely incredible abilities that allowed him to easily stand toe-to-toe both with and against such characters as the Fantastic Four. Namor is closely associated with Atlantis, and there are a few good reasons the location could appear in The Eternals, albeit before it sinks. A big part of this has to do with how The Eternals will seemingly explore a number of different time periods.

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, it's not totally clear just what shape the next phase of the MCU will take. While there's a good indication the characters Disney acquired from 21st Century Fox will soon arrive, there's not much solid information on just when or how that might happen. Right now, a number of productions have either been delayed or had their release dates changed as a result of the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. However, at this time, there's no indication those delays will affect the plots of any of the projects.
