First appearing in Avengers: Infinity War, Eitri the Dwarf King is responsible for creating two of the most powerful weapons in all of the Marvel Cinematic Universe: the Infinity Gauntlet and Stormbreaker. Even though the character only got a little screen time, there's a lot you might have missed about him.

There are a lot of differences between Eitri in Infinity War as compared to his comics counterpart. One of the most major changes is to his appearance, which is a bit more diminutive in stature in the comics. In the movie, Eitri is the last remaining dwarf on Nidavellir, but that might just play into why he's going to be important in the future.

Played by Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage, the character ended up proving integral to Infinity War. It's not totally clear at this time if he's going to return for Avengers: Endgame. However, we think Eitri might just end up playing a key role in arming the Avengers for their final encounter with Thanos, especially considering the events of "Fear Itself" in the comics. He might also play a key role in the popular fan theory that the Avengers will make an Infinity Gauntlet of their own in attempting to undo the events of the snap.
