VIDEO: Thanos Was the Most Overpowered MCU Villain - Here's Why

The Marvel Cinematic Universe spent a long time building up Thanos, and he certainly didn't disappoint. When the Mad Titan came onto the scene in Avengers: Infinity War, he easily beat the Hulk. When he reappeared in Avengers: Endgame, he showed that he didn't need the power of the Infinity Stones to take on Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and he stood toe-to-toe with them during the battle at the Avengers compound in upstate New York. However, Thanos might have also been the most overpowered villain in the history of the MCU. Here's why.

Thanos wasn't shy about using the power of the stones, and he made good use of the Power Stone, using it to shatter a moon that he then dropped on a planet. There's no other villain in the MCU capable of such an incredible feat.

Both the Thanos who initially obtained the Infinity Stones and perpetrated the Decimation and the version of the Mad Titan that traveled through time are dead following the events of Endgame, having been killed by Thor and Tony Stark, respectively. However, there's a chance the character might reappear again in the past, especially with his brother -- Eros -- rumored to be appearing in the Eternals film.
