Avengers: Endgame is going to see a lot of high-profile rematches as the titular team seeks to defeat Thanos and undo the events of Avengers: Infinity War. One of the most anticipated matches is certainly between Hulk and Thanos. When the two first met, Thanos absolutely obliterated the Hulk, leaving the Strongest Avenger afraid to return for the rest of the film.

Although we don't know at this time exactly when or how Hulk is going to come back, there are a lot of leaks to suggest that he will, and he might even take on his Professor Hulk persona. However, we don't think there's any reason to believe that things will go any different this time around. Instead, we think that Thanos is going to defeat Hulk again. This might also result in a major showdown between Hulk and Bruce Banner, which could result in a complete change to the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know him.

Hulk has only had one solo film in the MCU, and it's unlikely the character will get another movie any time soon. In 2017, actor Mark Ruffalo remarked another solo film focused on his character wouldn't happen, so it seems his character arcs are likely to be confined to movies focused mainly on other heroes.
