VIDEO: What Nobody Realized About Captain Marvel's Goose the Cat

WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for Captain Marvel, in theaters now.

Many of those who've seen Captain Marvel are raving that Goose the Cat is one of the best parts of the film. However, there's a lot you might not have realized about the popular feline and how he differs from the comics.

Early leaks made it pretty clear that Goose was going to pretty closely to his comics counterpart, though there were some pretty major changes made to his gender and name. However, he's still a Flerken, an alien species that just resembles a cat. Flerkens are capable of some pretty crazy feats and they're actually filled with pocket dimensions, meaning that they can store a seemingly limitless amount of things.

Although it's not totally clear what role Goose the Cat will play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe going forward, there's a chance that the fan-favorite animal might reappear in the future. It's likely that any reappearances by Goose will be tied to Captain Marvel. While there hasn't been any official announcement that the hero will be getting a sequel to her recent solo movie, that film has already made over $500 million, meaning that it's pretty likely Marvel Studios will greenlight one sooner rather than later.
