VIDEO: Which MCU Hero Will Beat Thanos in Avengers: Endgame?

Josh Brolin as Thanos

There are a lot of characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that want to see Thanos dead, especially following the villain's snap in Avengers: Infinity War. Although there are a lot of people gunning for the Mad Titan, we think that it's going to be Thor that strikes the killing blow.

Thor is one of the most powerful characters in the MCU, and he nearly killed Thanos at the end of Infinity War. Although Thanos is certainly stronger than Thor, the God of Thunder wields Stormbreaker, which is also immensely powerful. Plus, Thor has a great reason to kill Thanos, as the Mad Titan slew his brother, Loki, at the start of Infinity War. Joe and Anthony Russo have also made it clear that they think Thor and Thanos are the main characters of Infinity War, so there's certainly going to be a lot of emphasis on the God of Thunder's quest for revenge in Avengers: Endgame. However, it's unlikely that Thor will be able to defefat Thanos once and for all without the help of his allies, including Captain Marvel, who may be a match for Thanos on her own.

Check out the video below for more reasons why we think Thor will be the one to finally defeat Thanos.

The comics have seen a number of different characters defeat Thanos. Nebula played a key role in defeating the Mad Titan in the Infinity Gauntlet comic. However, Drax killed the villain in 2007's Annihilation #4. There's even a chance that Thanos might somehow survive the events of Endgame, though how exactly he might accomplish that is unknown at this time. Still, we think Thor is the universe's best bet for taking down the Mad Titan once and for all.
