The Marvel Cinematic Universe is interconnected; that's one of its biggest selling points. As such there's a lot of foreshadowing going on that hints at events to come. We've compiled a list of twenty times the MCU has used foreshadowing. For this list, we're looking not just at the films, but also the various TV series tied in to the series.

We're going all the way back to the earliest film in the MCU chronological: Captain America: The First Avenger. However, the second movie in the MCU, The Incredible Hulk, actually saw Emil Blonksy -- that film's villain -- use a bastardized version of Dr. Erskine's serum, which was unduplicable after the good doctor's death.

Although little about what will happen in the MCU after Avengers: Endgame has been confirmed, there are a lot of rumors and reports that there's good reason to believe are true. The first film after Endgame will be Spider-Man: Far From Home. There are also new films focused on Shang-Chi, Black Widow and The Eternals in the works. In addition to those new movies, there are sequels to Black PantherDoctor Strange and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in the works. There are also a number of series on Disney+, including WandaVisionLoki and Falcon and Winter Soldier.
